Tennessee High School Basketball - St. George's topples Kirby
January 17, 2023: Collierville, TN 38017 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the St. George's Gryphons (Collierville, TN) basketball squad beat the visiting Kirby Cougars (Memphis, TN), by a count of 83-66.
The Gryphons (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against First Assembly Christian (Cordova, TN). The Crusaders go into the Division II-A West District 6 outing with a 12-4 record. In their last outing, First Assembly Christian defeated Northpoint Christian (Southaven, MS), 84-57, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 0-12 record. They play next when they travel to Ridgeway for a 3A District 16 outing on Friday, January 20. Kirby will clash with a Roadrunners squad coming off a 78-38 non-league win over Freedom Prep Academy (Memphis, TN). The Roadrunners record now stands at 7-10.
