New York High School Basketball - Long Island Lutheran crushes Portledge
January 17, 2023: Locust Valley, NY 11560 Long Island Lutheran Crusaders (Brookville, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Portledge Panthers (Locust Valley, NY), 99-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Long Island Lutheran upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Crusaders host Poughkeepsie (Poughkeepsie, NY) to clash with the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 1-2.
Next up, the Panthers clash with the Luther Cougars (Maspeth, NY) in a PSAL Area NYSAIS PSAA - Western bout, on Saturday, January 21. Portledge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 70-31 non-league win over Kew Forest (Forest Hills, NY).
