Illinois High School Basketball - Washington holds off Mahomet-Seymour
January 17, 2023: Washington, IL 61571 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) and the visiting Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL), saw Washington's basketball squad hold off Mahomet-Seymour by a tally of 52-47.
With the victory, Washington improves its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to East Peoria (East Peoria, IL) to confront the Raiders in a Mid-Illini challenge on Friday, January 20. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 12-7. East Peoria lost 57-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Normal West (Normal, IL)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Mahomet-Seymour will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 63-47 league win over Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL).
