Mississippi High School Basketball - Mantachie overwhelmed by Saltillo
January 17, 2023: Mantachie, MS 38855 The Saltillo Tigers basketball team scored 87 points and restricted the host Mantachie Mustangs to 53 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbus for a 5A Region 1 contest on Tuesday, January 24.
The Mustangs (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Alcorn Central (Glen, MS). The Bears come into the 3A Region 1 contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, Alcorn Central triumphed over Meek (Arley, AL), 53-52, in a non-league contest.
