North Platte Bulldogs (North Platte, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE), 61-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Platte upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to McCook (McCook, NE) to clash with the Bison in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 8-3. McCook won 63-45 in their recent non-league bout against Minden (Minden, NE)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders (Grand Island, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Northwest will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 54-42 non-league loss to Aquinas (David City, NE).
