Ohio High School Basketball - Talawanda can't hold off Waynesville
January 17, 2023: Oxford, OH 45056 The Waynesville Spartans basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the host Talawanda Brave to 76 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Spartans now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bellbrook for a Southwestern Buckeye - East contest on Friday, January 20. Waynesville will battle a Golden Eagles team coming off a 62-61 non-league win over Kenton Ridge (Springfield, OH). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 8-6.
The Brave (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Harrison (Harrison, OH). The Wildcats come into the Southwest Ohio contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Harrison was nudged by Anderson (Cincinnati, OH), 66-38, in a non-league contest.
