January 17, 2023: Brookhaven, MS 39601 The Amite County Trojans basketball team (Liberty, MS), was routed 56-23 in Tuesday's league battle with the host West Lincoln Bears (Brookhaven, MS)
The Bears now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Loyd Star for a 2A Region 7 battle on Friday, January 20. West Lincoln will battle a Hornets team coming off a 66-42 league loss to Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 6-13.
The Trojans (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against East Marion (Columbia, MS). The Eagles come into the 2A Region 7 battle with a 1-13 record.
