Illinois High School Basketball - Herscher tops Pontiac
January 17, 2023: Herscher, IL 60941 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) and the visiting Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL), saw Herscher's basketball squad knock off Pontiac by a count of 57-39.
With the victory, Herscher upgrades its record to 18-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Tri-Point (Cullom, IL) to play the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Tri-Point lost 42-29 in their recent league challenge against Clifton Central (Clifton, IL)
Next up, the Indians play the Tolono Unity Rockets (Tolono, IL) in a Illini Prairie challenge, on Monday, January 23. Pontiac will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 16-8 record after their 45-38 league loss to Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL).
