Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Nucla Mustangs (Nucla, CO) and the host Ridgway Demons (Ridgway, CO), saw Nucla's basketball squad overcome Ridgway by a tally of 49-29.

With the victory, Nucla improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Dolores (Dolores, CO) to play the Bears in a 2A/1A San Juan Basin challenge on Friday, January 20. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 2-10.

Next up, the Demons play the Dolores Bears (Dolores, CO) in a 2A/1A San Juan Basin challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Ridgway will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 26-14 league loss to Ridgway (Ridgway, CO).
