New York High School Basketball - South Bronx Community thwarts Varsity Opponent
January 17, 2023: Bronx, NY 10456 The South Bronx Community Spartans (Bronx, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Varsity Opponent (, ), 10-0 in Tuesday's league test.
The Spartans (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Capital Prep (New York, NY). The Lions go into the PSAL Area Freelance test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Capital Prep went down by Capital Prep Harbor (Bridgeport, CT), 27-24, in a league test.
The now own a 97-306 record. They play next when they travel to Desert Christian for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. Varsity Opponent will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 39-35 league loss to St. Monica Academy (Montrose, CA). The Knights record now stands at 5-9.
