Maryland High School Basketball - South River nips Glen Burnie
January 17, 2023: Edgewater, MD 21037 South River Seahawks (Edgewater, MD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Glen Burnie Gophers (Glen Burnie, MD), 42-37 in a league bout.
With the victory, South River upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Seahawks travel to Chesapeake (Pasadena, MD) to play the Cougars in a bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 10-4.
Next up, the Gophers play the Old Mill Patriots (Millersville, MD) in a bout, on Thursday, January 19. Glen Burnie will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 43-32 league loss to Severna Park (Severna Park, MD).
