January 17, 2023: Gilman, IL 60938 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Iroquois West Raiders (Gilman, IL) and the visiting Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL), saw Iroquois West's basketball squad knock off Gardner-South Wilmington by a count of 39-21.
With the victory, Iroquois West upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Raiders host Schlarman (Danville, IL) to play the Hilltoppers in a challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Panthers play the Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) in a challenge, on Friday, January 20. Gardner-South Wilmington will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 53-27 league loss to Manteno (Manteno, IL).
