Missouri High School Basketball - University City holds off Marquette
January 17, 2024: St. Louis, MO 63130 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the University City Lions (St. Louis, MO) and the visiting Marquette Mustangs (Chesterfield, MO), saw University City's basketball squad hold off Marquette by a tally of 64-57.
With the victory, University City improves its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Riverview Gardens (St. Louis, MO) to confront the Rams in a Suburban - Green challenge on Friday, January 19. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 3-9. Riverview Gardens won 60-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Carnahan (St. Louis, MO)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Oakville Tigers (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Marquette will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 57-38 non-league loss to Kirkwood (Kirkwood, MO).
