The Mason County Central Spartans basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Glen Lake Lakers to 42 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gaylord for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Mason County Central will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 65-56 non-league win over St.Ignace (St. Ignace, MI). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-5.

The Lakers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Suttons Bay (Suttons Bay, MI). The Norsemen enter the Northwest contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Suttons Bay was defeated by Cadillac Heritage Christian (Cadillac, MI), 50-32, in a non-league contest.
