Kentucky High School Basketball - Calloway County overwhelms Rowan County
January 17, 2025: Morehead, KY 40351 The Calloway County Lakers basketball team scored 68 points and limited the host Rowan County Vikings to 42 in the Lakers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lakers now have a 16-2 record. They play next when they travel to Sikeston for a non-league game on Monday, January 20. Calloway County will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 72-51 non-league win over St. Mary's (St. Louis, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-2.
With the loss, Rowan County falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY) to confront the Panthers in a District 61 game on Friday, January 17. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 7-2. Fleming County won 83-51 in their recent league game against Bath County (Owingsville, KY)
