Illinois High School Basketball - Englewood Stem toppled by Northside
January 17, 2025: Chicago, IL 60621 Northside Mustangs (Chicago, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Englewood Stem Panthers (Chicago, IL), 51-41 in a league match.
With the victory, Northside advances its record to 7-12 on the year. The Mustangs travel to North Lawndale (Chicago, IL) to face the Phoenix in a Chicago Public - Red Northwest match on Tuesday, January 21. The Phoenix enter the match with a record of 8-8. North Lawndale lost 64-49 in their recent non-league match against Glenbard East (Lombard, IL)
The Panthers now own a 1-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nazareth Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. Englewood Stem will face a Roadrunners squad coming off a 51-33 non-league win over Parkview Christian Academy (Yorkville, IL). The Roadrunners record now stands at 8-10.
