January 17, 2025: Hatch, NM 87937 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM) and the visiting Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy Eagles (Albuquerque, NM), observed Hatch Valley's basketball team overcome Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy by a margin of 53-42.
The Bears (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Deming (Deming, NM). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 0-15 record. In their last challenge, Deming dropped by Centennial (Las Cruces, NM), 73-49, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Monte Del Sol Charter Dragons (Santa Fe, NM) in a 2A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 59-18 non-league loss to Dulce (Dulce, NM).
