Missouri High School Basketball - Kirkwood can't get by Marquette
January 17, 2025: Chesterfield, MO 63017 Marquette Mustangs (Chesterfield, MO) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Kirkwood Pioneers (Kirkwood, MO), 58-57 in a league match.
With the victory, Marquette advances its record to 6-2 on the year. The Mustangs host Howell (St. Charles, MO) to meet the Vikings in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 22. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 7-7.
The Pioneers now own a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Dominic for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. Kirkwood will meet a Crusaders squad coming off a 60-37 league win over St. Francis Borgia (Washington, MO). The Crusaders record now stands at 6-5.
