The Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Moffat Cowboys to 23 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderbirds now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Del Norte for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. Sangre de Cristo will confront a Tigers team coming off a 40-32 league win over Trinidad (Trinidad, CO). The Tigers record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Moffat falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Aguilar (Aguilar, CO) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 0-5. Aguilar lost 45-32 in their recent league game against Manzanola (Manzanola, CO)
