Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME), 47-38 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Thornton Academy upgrades its record to 11-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME) to face the Scots in a AA South match on Tuesday, January 21. The Scots enter the match with a record of 5-8.

The Bulldogs now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marshwood for a non-league match on Monday, January 20. Portland will face a Hawks squad coming off a 51-46 league loss to Biddeford (Biddeford, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 7-7.
