Virginia High School Basketball - Atlee thwarts Hanover
January 17, 2025: Mechanicsville, VA 23116 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Atlee Raiders (Mechanicsville, VA) and the host Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA), observed Atlee's basketball team knock off Hanover by a score of 57-40.
The Raiders (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Henrico (Richmond, VA). The Warriors come into the Capital challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Henrico was knocked off by Highland Springs (Highland Springs, VA), 69-60, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Highland Springs Springers (Highland Springs, VA) in a Capital challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Hanover will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Springers come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 69-60 league win over Henrico (Richmond, VA).
