Oklahoma High School Basketball - Commerce triumphant over Welch
January 17, 2025: Welch, OK 74369 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Commerce Tigers (Commerce, OK) and the host Welch Wildcats (Welch, OK), observed Commerce's basketball team overwhelm Welch by a score of 50-21.
The Tigers (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Quapaw (Quapaw, OK). The Wildcats come into the Lucky Seven challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Quapaw trounced Wyandotte (Wyandotte, OK), 40-36, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Fairland Owls (Fairland, OK) in a Lucky Seven challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Welch will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 31-30 non-league loss to Chelsea (Chelsea, OK).
