Louisiana High School Basketball - St. John fells Riverside Academy
January 17, 2025: Reserve, LA 70084 The St. John Eagles basketball team scored 32 points and limited the host Riverside Academy Rebels to 21 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now have a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Ascension Catholic for a 1A District 8 game on Monday, January 20. St. John will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 51-37 non-league loss to Live Oak (Watson, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-8.
With the loss, Riverside Academy falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to St. Katharine Drexel (New Orleans, LA) to confront the Yellowjackets in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Yellowjackets go into the game with a record of 9-19. St. Katharine Drexel won 21-11 in their recent league game against King Charter (New Orleans, LA)
