January 17, 2025: Fortville, IN 46040 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) and the visiting Avon Orioles (Avon, IN), observed Mt. Vernon's basketball team knock off Avon by a score of 58-50.
The Marauders (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mooresville (Mooresville, IN). The Pioneers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Mooresville was knocked off by Columbus North (Columbus, IN), 61-50, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Orioles encounter the Peru Tigers (Peru, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 25. Avon will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
