January 17, 2025: Phoenix, AZ 85031 Phoenix Christian Cougars (Phoenix, AZ) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Maryvale Prep Matador (Phoenix, AZ), 7-2 in a league test.
With the triumph, Phoenix Christian advances its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host St. John Paul II Catholic (Avondale, AZ) to clash with the Lions in a 2A Valley test on Tuesday, January 21. The Lions come into the test with a record of 8-1. St. John Paul II Catholic won 4-0 in their recent league test against Heritage Academy (Laveen, AZ)
The Matador now have a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Trivium Prep for a 2A Valley test on Tuesday, January 21. Maryvale Prep will clash with a Crimson Knights team coming off a 5-1 league win over Veritas Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Crimson Knights record now stands at 12-2.
