The Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD) basketball edged the host Pine Ridge Thorpes (Pine Ridge, SD), 74-69 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Cossacks now possess a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Chester for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 20. Sioux Valley will play a Flyers team coming off a 66-49 league loss to Sioux Falls Lutheran (Sioux Falls, SD). The Flyers record now stands at 4-8.
