New York High School Basketball - Whitney Young nudges Christ the King
January 17, 2022: Middle Village, NY 11379 Whitney Young Dolphins (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Christ the King Royals (Middle Village, NY), 61-59 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Whitney Young upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Dolphins host Schurz (Chicago, IL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Chicago Public - Red Northwest bout on Wednesday, January 19. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Schurz lost 47-44 in their recent non-league bout against Maine East (Park Ridge, IL)
Next up, the Royals clash with the Bishop Loughlin Lions (Brooklyn, NY) in a Catholic AA - Brooklyn/Queens bout, on Sunday, January 23. Christ the King will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
