January 18, 2022: Marissa, IL 62257 The Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL) basketball knocked off the host Marissa/Coulterville Meteors (Marissa, IL), 54-38 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Midgets (20-3) will now prepare for their test against Granite City (Granite City, IL). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 8-10 record. In their last test, Granite City went down by Columbia (Columbia, IL), 63-35, in a non-league test.
The Meteors now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Red Bud for a non-league test on Thursday, January 20. Marissa/Coulterville will encounter a Musketeers squad coming off a 49-21 non-league win over East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Musketeers record now stands at 10-13.
