Iowa High School Basketball - South Central Calhoun tops Pocahontas
January 18, 2022: Lake City, IA 50450 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the South Central Calhoun Titans (Lake City, IA) and the visiting Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA), saw South Central Calhoun's basketball squad knock off Pocahontas by a count of 55-37.
With the victory, South Central Calhoun upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA) to play the Rebels in a Twin Lakes challenge on Friday, January 21. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Sioux Central won 45-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA)
Next up, the Indians play the Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 20. Pocahontas will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 60-22 league loss to Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA).
