Illinois High School Basketball - Belvidere North tipped by Jefferson
January 18, 2023: Belvidere, IL 61008 The Jefferson J-Hawks basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Belvidere North Blue Thunder to 53 in the J-Hawks league triumph on Wednesday.
The J-Hawks now sport a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Guilford for a Northern Illinois 10 contest on Friday, January 20. Jefferson will meet a Vikings team coming off a 75-73 non-league win over Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 14-7.
The Blue Thunder (8-15) will now prepare for their contest against Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL). The Titans enter the Northern Illinois 10 contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Boylan Catholic nudged Lemont (Lemont, IL), 63-48, in a non-league contest.
