Illinois High School Basketball - Putnam County winner over Kewanee
January 18, 2023: Granville, IL 61326 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) basketball squad felled the visiting Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL), by a margin of 62-53.
The Panthers (17-4) will now prepare for their outing against Midland (Varna, IL). The Timberwolves go into the Tri-County outing with a 17-3 record. In their last outing, Midland thwarted St. Bede (Peru, IL), 81-53, in a non-league outing.
The Boilermakers now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to Mendota for a Three Rivers - East outing on Friday, January 20. Kewanee will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 72-58 league win over Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 8-15.
