Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Horizon Honors Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Arete Prep CHARGERS (Gilbert, AZ), saw Horizon Honors's basketball squad overcome Arete Prep by a tally of 43-25.

With the victory, Horizon Honors improves its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ) to play the Wolves in a 2A South challenge on Friday, January 20. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 11-5. St. Augustine Catholic lost 49-32 in their recent league challenge against Chandler Prep (Chandler, AZ)

Next up, the CHARGERS play the San Tan Charter Roadrunners (Gilbert, AZ) in a 2A Valley challenge, on Friday, January 20. Arete Prep will attempt to improve on its 14-8 season record. The Roadrunners come into the challenge with a 0-17 record after their 100-12 league loss to San Carlos (San Carlos, AZ).
