Illinois High School Basketball - Effingham fells Vandalia
January 18, 2023: Vandalia, IL 62471 Effingham Flaming Hearts (Effingham, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL), 55-46 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Effingham upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Flaming Hearts travel to Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL) to clash with the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Mascoutah won 49-42 in their recent non-league bout against Greenville (Greenville, IL)
Next up, the Vandals clash with the Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Vandalia will attempt to upgrade on its 15-8 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 13-10 record after their 49-42 non-league loss to Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL).
