January 18, 2023: Longview, WA 98632 Mark Morris Monarchs (Longview, WA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ridgefield Spudders (Ridgefield, WA), 59-48 in a league bout.
With the win, Mark Morris upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Monarchs host Columbia River (Vancouver, WA) to confront the Rapids in a 2A Greater St. Helens challenge on Friday, January 20. The Rapids come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Columbia River won 51-25 in their recent league challenge against Fort Vancouver (Vancouver, WA)
Next up, the Spudders confront the Hockinson Hawks (Brush Prairie, WA) in a 2A Greater St. Helens challenge, on Friday, January 20. Ridgefield will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 58-44 league loss to Hudson's Bay (Vancouver, WA).
