January 18, 2024: Hartwell, GA 30643 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Barnes Academy Vikings (Hartwell, GA) and the visiting Cambridge Academy Cougars (Greenwood, SC), saw Barnes Academy's basketball squad hold off Cambridge Academy by a tally of 66-64.
With the victory, Barnes Academy improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Temple Christian Academy (Anderson, SC) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Temple Christian Academy won 72-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Westgate Christian (Spartanburg, SC)
Next up, the Cougars confront the King Academy Knights (Batesburg, SC) in a SCISA A Region IV challenge, on Friday, January 19. Cambridge Academy will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-11 record after their 68-31 league loss to Wardlaw Academy (Johnston, SC).
