January 18, 2024: Renville, ND 58761 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Bottineau Braves/Stars (Bottineau, ND) and the host Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks (Renville, ND), saw Bottineau's basketball squad knock off Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood by a tally of 65-55.
With the victory, Bottineau improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Braves/Stars host Nedrose (Minot, ND) to play the Cardinals in a A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Nedrose lost 80-73 in their recent non-league challenge against Standing Rock (Fort Yates, ND)
Next up, the Mavericks play the Tioga Pirates (Tioga, ND) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 60-38 league win over Divide County (Crosby, ND).
