Arizona High School Basketball - St. Johns nudges Mogollon
January 18, 2024: St. Johns, AZ 85936 St. Johns Redskins (St. Johns, AZ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mogollon Mustangs (Heber, AZ), 60-55 in a non-league bout.
With the win, St. Johns upgrades its record to 5-13 on the campaign. The Redskins host Hopi (Keams Canyon, AZ) to confront the Bruins in a 2A North challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 19-4. Hopi won 55-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Ganado (Ganado, AZ)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Valley Lutheran Flames (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Mogollon will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Flames come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 46-42 league loss to Lincoln Prep (Chandler, AZ).
