The Schaeffer Academy Lions basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Randolph Rockets to 69 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Lions now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kingsland for a A Section 1 contest on Friday, January 19. Schaeffer Academy will battle a Knights team coming off a 60-40 league loss to Spring Grove (Spring Grove, MN). The Knights record now stands at 9-1.
The Rockets (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (Janesville, MN). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton ran past New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (New Richland, MN), 66-50, in a league contest.
