Iowa High School Basketball - Charles City overwhelmed by West Hancock
January 18, 2024: Charles City, IA 50616 The West Hancock Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Charles City Comets to 21 in the Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Sentral Kossuth/Armstrong-Ringsted for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. West Hancock will battle a team coming off a 47-46 non-league win over Forest City (Forest City, IA). The record now stands at 9-4.
The Comets (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA). The Go-Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 13-0 record. In their last contest, Waverly-Shell Rock triumphed over New Hampton (New Hampton, IA), 78-27, in a league contest.
