Mason City Mohawks (Mason City, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Northwood-Kensett Vikings (Northwood, IA), 71-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mason City upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Mohawks host Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Waterloo East lost 60-44 in their recent non-league bout against Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA)
