New Mexico High School Basketball - Espanola Valley nips Miyamura
January 18, 2024: Espanola, NM 87532 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) and the visiting Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM), saw Espanola Valley's basketball squad hold off Miyamura by a tally of 32-29.
With the victory, Espanola Valley improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Sundevils host Moriarty (Moriarty, NM) to play the Pintos in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Pintos come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Moriarty lost 55-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Robertson (Las Vegas, NM)
Next up, the Patriots play the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Miyamura will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
