January 18, 2025: Vian, OK 74962 The Vian Wolverines (Vian, OK) basketball edged the visiting Atoka Wampus Cats (Atoka, OK), 51-45 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Wolverines now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Central for a Big Eight bout on Tuesday, January 21. Vian will play a Tigers team coming off a 57-54 non-league win over Gore (Gore, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 8-4.
With the loss, Atoka falls to 0-15 on the campaign. The Wampus cats host Broken Bow (Broken Bow, OK) to play the Savages in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Savages go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Broken Bow won 66-39 in their recent non-league bout against Star-Spencer (Spencer, OK)
