January 18, 2025: Belleville, IL 62223 Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Belleville West Maroons (Belleville, IL), 68-56 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Marian Catholic upgrades its record to 16-6 on the year. The Spartans host Greenwood (Bowling Green, KY) to face the Gators in a non-league match on Monday, January 20. The Gators enter the match with a record of 10-4. Greenwood lost 78-67 in their recent league match against South Warren (Bowling Green, KY)
The Maroons now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Althoff Catholic for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 22. Belleville West will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 59-43 league win over Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL). The Crusaders record now stands at 15-4.
