January 18, 2025: Mount Sinai, NY 11766 William Floyd Colonials (Mastic Beach, NY) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Mount Sinai Mustangs (Mount Sinai, NY), 69-61 in a non-league match.
With the victory, William Floyd upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Colonials travel to Riverhead (Riverhead, NY) to face the Blue Waves in a Section 11 AAA-1 match on Thursday, January 30. The Blue Waves enter the match with a record of 1-2.
The Mustangs now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Islip for a Section 11 A-6 match on Wednesday, January 22. Mount Sinai will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 63-42 league loss to Mount Sinai (Mount Sinai, NY). The Buccaneers record now stands at 0-1.
