January 18, 2025: East Providence, RI 02914 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bishop Hendricken Hawks (Warwick, RI) and the host East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI), observed Bishop Hendricken's basketball team knock off East Providence by a score of 57-44.
The Hawks (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against La Salle Academy (Providence, RI). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, La Salle Academy was knocked off by Bishop Feehan (Attleboro, MA), 50-48, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Townies encounter the Central Knights (Providence, RI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. East Providence will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 72-71 non-league win over Cumberland (Cumberland, RI).
