January 18, 2025: Sparta, MO 65754 Blue Eye Bulldogs (Blue Eye, MO) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Sparta Trojans (Sparta, MO), 47-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Blue Eye advances its record to 9-5 on the year. The Bulldogs host Marshfield (Marshfield, MO) to face the Bluejays in a non-league match on Thursday, January 23. The Bluejays enter the match with a record of 11-4. Marshfield won 72-43 in their recent league match against McDonald County (Anderson, MO)
The Trojans now own a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forsyth for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. Sparta will face a Panthers squad coming off a 65-52 non-league win over Hollister (Hollister, MO). The Panthers record now stands at 2-10.
