In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Briarwood Christian Lions basketball team scored a close 43-36 win over the Northridge Jaguars.

The Lions (17-9) will now prepare for their contest against Sylacauga (Sylacauga, AL). The Aggies come into the 5A Area 8 contest with a 5-12 record.

In their next game, the Jaguars battle the Bibb County Choctaws (Centreville, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. Northridge will attempt to better on its 19-6 season record. The Choctaws come into the contest with a 8-8 record after their 65-17 league loss to Prattville Christian Academy (Prattville, AL).
