Caravel Buccaneers (Bear, DE) followers were in high spirits Saturday as they saw their basketball team nip the visiting Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA), 47-40 in a non-league bout.

The Buccaneers now possess a 10-1 record. They play next when they host St. Elizabeth for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28.

With the loss, Central falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Golden eagles host Northampton (Northampton, MA) to play the Blue Devils in a Valley bout on Wednesday, January 22. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Northampton lost 42-41 in their recent non-league bout against South (Worcester, MA)
