The Howland Tigers basketball squad (Warren, OH), was nudged 49-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Chaney Cowboys (Youngstown, OH)

With the victory, Chaney advances its record to 9-4 on the year. The Cowboys host Harbor Creek (Harborcreek, PA) to meet the Huskies in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Huskies enter the battle with a record of 9-1.

The Tigers now own a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Green for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 22. Howland will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 68-38 non-league loss to Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-2.
