Alaska High School Basketball - Cordova can't hold off Delta
January 18, 2025: Cordova, AK 99574 Delta Huskies (Delta Junction, AK) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Cordova Wolverines (Cordova, AK), 32-30 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Delta upgrades its record to 4-7 on the year. The Huskies host Valdez (Valdez, AK) to face the Buccaneers in a 3A Aurora match on Friday, January 24. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 6-4. Valdez won 48-43 in their recent non-league match against Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK)
The Wolverines now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lumen Christi for a non-league match on Thursday, January 30.
